In a press release, the agency explained it truly is alarmed regarding the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance point designed for intervention activities a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
